University of Montevallo, Montevallo- Masters of Education, December 2014

Experience

I started as a Instructional Specialist in Dadeville, Alabama where I taught grades (8-12).  I also taught remediation for Mathematics, Science, and Reading.  I then decided I wanted to work with students on a lower level and went back to school to obtain a degree in Elementary Education.  I have really enjoyed working with students of all levels and abilities  This is my second year in first grade and I am so excited about what this year will bring with my superhero learners.

Bio

My name is Lamonica Moon.  I am orginially from Alexander City, Alabama.  I graduated from Benjamin Russell High School and then went to Judson College in Marion, Alabama to pursue a degree in Law.  After my mom got sick I attended the University of Alabama to be close to her.  I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance and worked as a Credit Analyst for five years until 2006 when I decided I want to do something different with my life and decided to pursue education.   I am so glad I made the change.  I have a five year old son, Stephen who is my heart and soul. He is in kindergarten at Mcrae Gaines.  I love to travel with my family.
